We, Outfit, present the second iteration of mystical protest songs at forty five rotations per minute. The first side is the enchanted manifesto of our plight. We call it Servo. Servo means to watch over, to preserve, to keep, to protect. With Servo one directly confronts and experiences the weight of being responsible to others. To participate in Servo is to transcend the egoic nature of modernity. Through the abolition of culture hoarding and demigodism, one is able to flourish in a participation that grounds the capacity for being connected to one’s self, others, and the world. Servo, thusly, is a shared experience not just through observation but by encountering and undergoing it, gaining from it practical wisdom and a sense of presence and participation that is reciprocal, which is a key component for meaning making. Servo enables a sensitization to emerge that engages one with another through transformative exposure in which there is cooperation and autonomy. It allows for ritual which can remove one from self-destructive and alienating behaviours. We are the travellers, we carry our load, that’s what we do for love.

The second side functions as an anthem for the mechanism of intuition. When all the world falls away, what is left is love, dumb with glory. Perhaps all knowledge is already acquired, perhaps the material manifestations of knowledge are but tools to render themselves useless. Where is memory? Beyond the linear, there is only dumb love. Let the mystic equation reiterate: zero equals two.
